Side Note - Business Management - NotionĪs a quick side note, Notion is so powerful that my wife uses it to run her home-based baking business, Gray Barn Baking. Notion is extremely powerful and has its place, but task management really isn't its strength.
Its just important to remember that youll need to pay up for. Plus, Todoist is just easier to use, at least for me. Todoist is a fantastic way to manage your tasks and projects, with the flexibility to be as complex or simple as you see fit. They have a lot in common, but there are some things that set them apart, such as the ability to create folders in TickTick, which is one feature that Todoist. In Todoist, recurring tasks do exactly what you think they should. Trying to get Notion to handle recurring tasks is an exercise in futility - at least as of this writing. Many of my tasks are recurring - things I need to do each day, week, month, etc. On top of that, Todoist can be integrated.

You might absolutely be able to do this - but I just couldn't. The best thing about Todoist is that it is available on all platforms, from Android and iOS to Windows and Mac. Both Todoist and Things 3 have supporting features and services that make them better than the other. Great question! And I don't think this can be explained in a blog post - you have to experience it yourself. But - Notion has a "Task" module - why not just use it? This use of Notion keeps my thoughts organized and at my fingertips, whether I am at home on my laptop or on the road with my phone. Similar sets of cards exist for our products, strategic projects, and operational areas (Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, etc.). Todoist allows users to set location-based reminders, which trigger when the user arrives or leaves a specified location. Nonetheless, the proprietary syncing would be dramatically improved with client side encryption.

If you value having a natively built app that is easy to use on Mac devices. Both Todoist and Omnifocus offer customization options, such as the ability to create custom labels, filters, and task prioritization. While the mechanics are similar, it’s a fact that Things 3 is better than Todoist on security. If you use many Mac apps like Bear, Fantastical, Apple Shortcuts, and Mindnode and want to take advantage of the native integrations.
Each service has its own card on my homepage - and if you click on each card, you will bring up the details for that service. With Todoist, its easier to export out if I ever need to migrate to another app, whereas with Things 3, its not.
